The changing face of cricket
Over three decades ago, what was there to do on a Sunday? Church in the morning and cricket in the afternoon? Sunday was a rest day.
These days, some fathers work on a Sunday, while others have a multitude of activities to choose from. The fielding of a full cricket team is suffering as a result and it is envisaged the problem will only get bigger.
Today fathers are more involved in bringing up their children than a few decades ago with Sundays being a perfect opportunity for quality family time. Watching cricket as a family is a good way to spend time with the family.
As Churchill said “keep buggering on”!
